Day 1 : Kilimanjaro hiking- Moshi town to Londorossi gate to Mti Mkubwa

Embarking on an extraordinary adventure, we leave Moshi Town and head towards Londorossi Gate, a journey that takes about 4 hours. Our team of experienced guides and porters will use this time to prepare all the necessary equipment while we complete the entry formalities. The drive takes us through scenic landscapes, passing by the magnificent Mount Meru's volcanic crater. Upon reaching the Lemosho road head, we're greeted by lush forests and beautiful glades where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch. The last leg of the road to the park gate might be challenging, adding a touch of excitement to our journey. Our first night will be spent at the enchanting Lemosho Forest Camp, surrounded by nature's tranquility.

Day 2 : Kilimanjaro Hiking- Big tree camp (Mti Mkubwa) to Shira 1 camp

Setting off from the Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa), we venture across the grassy moorlands and heather-covered terrain dotted with intriguing volcanic rock formations. The stunning views of Kibo Peak, often shrouded in clouds, add to the allure of the Shira 1 Camp, where we'll spend the night. As we gain altitude, the landscape begins to change, and we're immersed in the unique ambiance of the plateau.

Day 3 : Kilimanjaro Hiking- Shira 1 camp to Moir camp

Today, our hike leads us from Shira 1 Camp to Moir Camp. The path takes us through the "Garden of the Senecios," an enchanting area filled with these fascinating plants. Leaving behind the moorlands, we now enter the high alpine desert zone, an otherworldly landscape that captivates the imagination. As we continue eastward, we join the northern circuit trail and eventually reach the serene Moir Camp, situated at 4,200 meters above sea level.

Day 4 : Kilimanjaro Hiking- Moir camp to Buffalo camp

From Moir Camp, we embark on a moderately steep hike, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding valleys. An optional hike up to the summit of Little Lent Hill rewards us with even more spectacular panoramic views. Following the Northern Circuit trail, we traverse various inclines and declines, tracing our way around Kibo's northern slopes until we reach Buffalo Camp.

Day 5 : Kilimanjaro Hiking- Buffalo camp to Third Cave

Our journey continues as we ascend the Buffalo Ridge and make our way to Porfu Camp for a refreshing lunch. The route then leads us eastward, skirting the northern slopes, until we reach Rongai Third Cave at 3,800 meters. With each step, we become more acclimatized to the altitude, readying ourselves for the challenges ahead.

Day 6 : Kilimanjaro Hikinng- Rongai Third Cave to School hut

Today, we embark on a steady incline, traversing the Saddle nestled between the majestic peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. The path takes us south-west, leading us to School Hut. Here, we'll have an early dinner before attempting the ultimate summit push. As the night descends, we prepare ourselves for the mentally and physically demanding hike to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.

Day 7 : Kilimanjaro Hiking- School Hut to Mweka hut campsite

The momentous day is here. In the early hours, we set out for the summit, facing the harsh winds and cold at this altitude. The ascent is challenging, but the reward is unparalleled. As the sun rises over Mawenzi Peak, we reach Gilman's Point at 18,600 feet, where an awe-inspiring sunrise awaits us. From there, we press forward and finally arrive at the majestic Uhuru Peak, standing tall on the Roof of Africa. The descent takes us to Mweka Hut campsite, where we rest and cherish the memories of this triumphant accomplishment.

Day 8 : Kilimanjaro Hiking- Mweka Hut campsite to Moshi

After a well-deserved breakfast, we begin the trek back to the park gate, a scenic and relatively short 3-hour hike. As we descend, we take in the lush beauty of the upper forest, and the mist or rain that may greet us in the late afternoon. Once at Mweka Gate, we express our gratitude to the dedicated porters and staff, signing the register and receiving well-earned summit certificates. The day ends with a drive back to Moshi, where we can indulge in a hot shower and celebrate our incredible journey.
